ITScriptNet V1/V2
If a client attempts to connect to an ITScriptNet Omni Server, and no DNS Server is available, the connection attempt may be slow. This problem occurs even if the Omni Server is specified by IP Address instead of by name.
DETAILS
The ITScriptNet client is attempting a name lookup first and then a direct IP Address lookup second. If no DNS server is available, this causes a timeout before the direct connection is attempted.
ITScriptNet versions 2.3 and higher reverse this order so the direct IP Address connection is attempted first. This will result in fast connections regardless of whether a DNS server is available.
