When collecting Image Capture or Digital Ink data on a Windows CE / PocketPC / Windows Mobile based device, you receive the following error:
Unable to save image!
RESOLUTION
This error can occur if the Device Alias for the client contains characters that are not valid in a filename. The Image Capture and Digital Ink filenames are constructed using the Device Alias and a Date/Time stamp, so if there are invalid characters in the Device Alias, the device will not be able to create the file containing them.
The invalid characters are " < > | ? * : \ / and all characters between 0 and 31.
