Under PocketPC 2003, font files located in the \Windows\Fonts folder can be deleted if the font is no longer needed. Under Windows Mobile 5, however, an error is displayed if the user attempts to delete a font file.
DETAILS
Windows Mobile 5 protects font files with the .TTF extension in the \Windows\Fonts folder from being deleted. To removed these files, connect to the device with ActiveSync, use Windows Explorer to navigate to \Windows\Fonts, and rename the files to a different extension. The font files can then be deleted.
For example, rename Diner.TTF to Diner.TTF.Old, and it can be deleted.
