PRB: GPRS credentials do not persist through a cold boot on the Dolphin 9500 / 7900.
PROBLEM
Applies To: ITScriptNet V1/V2

The security mechanisms in place in Windows Mobile make it very difficult to persist login credentials through a cold-boot.

Following is a description of the scenario where may demonstrate this problem:

If a Dolphin has login credentials saved for a GPRS connectoid, and the RegBackup utility has been executed after saving these credentials, and the Dolphin is subsequently cold-booted for any reason, the following error message could appear when the user tries to manually connect to GPRS using the connectoid:

"The answering modem has disconnected. To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap Settings."
RESOLUTION
The resolution to this problem is to delete the RegBackup file saved in the IPSM folder on the Dolphin, cold-boot, and reconfigure the connection settings.
