This guide describes the steps required to configure RF
communications on a Dolphin 9500 Portable Terminal.
STEP 1 – Setup IP Address on terminal
Navigate to StartàSettingsàControl
PanelàConnectionsàNetwork
Adapters on the Dolphin 9500
 Select the
Sychip Pegasus WLAN Emb. Module and click the Properties
button. 
Set the IP Address to be used for this Dolphin 9500.

STEP 2 – Set the SSID on the Terminal
Navigate to StartàSettingsàSystemàHHP
WLAN Settings and then click the Config tab.
 To add new
profiles click the Add button immediately right of Preferred
Profiles (Edit a profile by selecting it in the Preferred Profile
list and clicking the properties button which is the second button from
the left above the preferred profiles list). Next, enter the SSID value
that your access point has been configured for in the SSID edit box (SEE
Step1 in the Access Point Setup Guide).
 STEP 3 – Set
WEP Keys on the terminal
Setup WEP parameters at the bottom of the profile
screen. These values must match the values that your access point has been
configured to use (SEE STEP 2 of the Access Point Setup Guide).
 Check the
Status of your connection by clicking the Status tab in WLAN Settings (SEE
Step 2 above for instructions on running WLAN Settings). |
