This guide describes the steps required to configure RF
communications on a Dolphin 7400 Portable Terminal.
STEP 1 – Setup IP Address on terminal
Navigate to StartàSettingsàControl
PanelàNetwork
on the Dolphin 7400. 
Select the Cisco Wireless LAN Adapter and click
the Properties button.
 Set the IP
Address to be used for this Dolphin 7400.
 STEP 2 – Set
the SSID on the Terminal
Navigate to StartàProgramsàCiscoàClient
Utility. 
Select SSID in the Property list and input the
value that your access point has been configured for (SEE Step1 in the
Access Point Setup). 
STEP 3 – Set WEP Keys on the terminal
Select WEP in the Properties list of the
Client Utility (SEE Step 2 for getting to the Client Utility screen) and
then select a value for the WEP Keys.
 Exit the
Client Utility and enter the Client Encryption Manager to set the
values of the individual WEP keys. Navigate to StartàProgramsàCiscoàClient
Encryption Manager. 
You may be prompted to enter the Client Encryption
Manager password. This password is defaulted to Cisco but can be
changed from the Client Encryption Manager.
 Once you are
in the CEM (Client Encryption Manager), set the values of the WEP Key(s)
to match the values that you set for your access point (SEE STEP 2 of the
access point configuration guide).
 Check the
Status of your connection by running the Link Status program.
Navigate to StartàProgramsàCiscoàLink
Status.
 The
association state and signal strength are displayed.
