This guide describes the steps required to configure RF
communications on a Dolphin 7300 Portable Terminal.
STEP 1 - Set the IP Address of the Terminal
Navigate to StartŕControl PanelŕNetwork on the
Dolphin 7300 terminal.
Select the NETWLAN1 adapter and click Properties.

Set the IP Address to be used for this Dolphin 7300
terminal. To scroll the Dolphin 7300 screen down, press the blue
keyboard button (double-press) to activate the on-screen pointer, and use
the arrow keys to scroll the screen. Double-press the blue button
again to turn off the on-screen pointer.
 STEP 2
– Set the ESSID on the Terminal
Navigate to StartŕControl PanelŕIntel®
PRO/Wireless Settings on the Dolphin 7300 terminal.

Setup the ESSID in Intel® Pro/Wireless Settings to the
same value as your access point (SEE STEP 1 of Access Point Setup).

STEP 3 –Set WEP Keys on the Terminal
Click the advanced… button from the main Intel®
PRO/Wireless Settings Screen. Click the
Encryption Tab. Set the values of the 4 Shared
Encryption Keys to the same values as the WEP Keys on your access point
(SEE STEP 2 of Access Point Setup).
 STEP 4 –
Check Link Status
Click the Intel WLAN Monitor Icon in the Task Tray.
Select the Signal tab to check the Signal Quality.
Select Ping to test communications with a specific IP
address.
